Yoga classes will be held on Kukui’ula private property. Weather pending, classes may be held in the studio, outside in the breeze or on the beach. The exact type of yoga will depend on the leader of your experience. These classes are designed to strengthen, stretch and stimulate the body and mind. Each yoga instructor will customize their instruction to every level and with consideration to the day’s activities. Beginners are always welcome, and guests always have the freedom to skip any activity that does not resonate with them during their s tay. Yoga mats + fitness props will be provided onsite.
Kay Kay is a senior teacher at Pure Yoga NYC and the head of Pure’s Teacher Training Program. Recognized by many, including New York Magazine, as one of the best instructors in New York, Kay Kay’s classes are a beautiful manifestation of an ongoing dialogue with past teachers and present students.
In 1996, KK Clivio came to yoga in an effort to rehabilitate an injury she sustained as a competitive outrigger canoe paddler in Hawaii. During the course of her recovery she not only regained agility and healed, but cultivated a practice and discovered a passion.
Krista fell in love with the practice of yoga in 1999 when she took her first Ashtanga Yoga class. Since that day she has devoted her time and energy to exploring the numerous dimensions of yoga, both as teacher and student. “I look forward each day to the possibility that my practice both on and off the mat can promote a greater awareness in our immediate need for global peace and unification. ALL is ONE.” She believes that our obstacles are our greatest blessings.
Clio Manuelian is a yogi, a mother, a wife, an ex-NY’er, a former fashionista, a Sutra student, an enlightened mind-in-training, a recovering type A, an emissary for joy and a 500 ERYT through YogaWorks. Clio’s successful career in Fashion PR with top posts at Elle Magazine and Salvatore Ferragamo left her well paid, well dressed and highly stressed. When her son was born, she stepped off the fast track to follow her heart path (aka dharma) and began her journey from spinning to centered. The core of her teachings is a celebration for the human capacity to expand, love and live more fabulously.
