Spirit of Summer PlantLab Scholarships
Inspired by the season that produces an abundance of plant food, Matthew Kenney Culinary is celebrating the summer in Maine by giving back to our students. As the third season of Matthew Kenney Culinary Belfast approaches, we are proud to announce the PlantLab Scholarship, an opportunity to complete Level I: Fundamentals of Raw Cuisine with free tuition, to qualified students who share our mission of Crafting the Future of Food.
We believe education is centered on empowering others to excel in their plant-based culinary journey, and supporting aspiring chefs around the globe. Located in Belfast, Matthew Kenney Culinary Maine is unlike any other academy in the world. In addition to incredible access to local producers, farmers, and the site of our innovation test kitchen, PlantLab, Maine is also Matthew’s childhood home. Students who study in Belfast are surrounded by nature, inspired by it’s bounty and develop a deep connection to the small coastal town.

2. Submit a personal essay describing yourself, your culinary journey, and why you would like to learn more about raw cuisine to admissions@
Applicants are encouraged to participate in our webinar this Thursday, April 28th at 10 am PST. Please join from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
Recipients are responsible for covering the cost of their student kits, uniforms, and housing during their studies.
Valid for Level I: Fundamentals of Raw Cuisine in Belfast, Maine, May 30th-June 24th, 9am- 3pm, Monday-Friday. New students are encouraged to participate in orientation on Sunday May 29th and will experience the opening of our newest restaurant Arata, located across the street from PlantLab in downtown Belfast.
